Using the DUNU S&S eartips takes the Winter Ultra to another level.
With these tips, the fit becomes more stable, the bone-conduction driver couples much better, and the slight metallic edge I heard at first practically disappears. The sound gains warmth, body, and bass authority without losing clarity. For me, the S&S tips unlock the full potential of the Winter Ultra and make the tuning far more natural and enjoyable.
-About the sound-Although they can achieve above average scores in a wide range of genres, their expressiveness in recording live instruments (especially strings and reed-type woodwinds, followed by brass), vocal solos, and bass in general is exceptional (and as everyone has said, I highly recommend these to people who are drowning in the swamp of searching for ASMR earphones). It's like you can experience a little bit of the sensation of vibrations caused by sound pressure from your eardrums, ears, head, and body when listening to live music. Even if it's only a little, it's an experience that you can't get with regular earphones, so it's very moving when you get a good fit for them (midrange sounds close to your ears, and bass sounds like it vibrates all the way up to your head and shoulders).
The sound quality is flat and monitor-like. The low frequencies reach down to 30Hz, which is nice. I like them because there's no unnecessary muffled sound or harshness. However, I don't really understand what the bone conduction technology they're selling is. The sound is good, but... Also, if you don't choose the right eartips, the sound will be garbage. At first, I tried using the included eartips, but they were uncomfortable and the sound was hollow, which left me wondering. When I replaced them with the eartips I usually use, the sound seemed to return to its original state. It's not so much the quality of the eartips that matters, but it seems like you need to choose ones that fit properly otherwise it won't work at all. I feel like the price is a little high, but if they were under 30,000 yen, I'd give them 5 stars.
The sound resolution is excellent, and when listening to ASMR, the sense of distance is just right, allowing you to hear even the smallest details, so I recommend them. As for music, I felt they were a good match for songs with higher vocal ranges, such as Vocaloid songs. The only drawback is that they can be difficult to wear until you get used to them. I think this issue can be resolved by experimenting with different earbuds.
These revolutionary earphones use bone conduction to deliver mid- and high-frequency sounds that aren't masked by bass, and they've replaced my regular headphones.
